Canada has now given more than 78,350 ITAs to Express Entry applicants in 2020
Canada held a new Express Entry draw on September 30.
Federal Skilled Worker Program applicants were among today’s succeeding applicants for the third continuous draw.
The least Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this most recent invitation was 471, a reduction of 1 point over the past all-program draw, which was held on September 16.
The great number of Invitations to Apply (ITA) provided today is a solid sign that Canada stays committed to welcoming big levels of immigration in 2021 and past.
Canada’s Express Entry system arranges the profiles of applicants for three of Canada’s primary economic-class immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
In the Express Entry system, qualified applicants for the FSWC, FSTC, CEC programs, and few Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants are scored based on the Comprehensive Ranking System, or CRS.
The CRS reviews several elements including age, work experience, education, and skill in French or English. The most elevated positioned applicants in the Express Entry pool get an ITA, and at that time they can give an application for Canadian permanent residence.
Canada has now conveyed 78,350 ITAs so far in 2020, which is well over the 69,420 that were provided simultaneously in 2017, another record-breaking year for Express Entry.
The most recent draw saw the tie-breaking rule executed on March 2, 2020 at 12:37:25 UTC. This implies all applicants with a CRS score of 471 or more who presented their profile before this date and time gained an ITA in this invitation round.
The newest invitation round was Canada’s 164th Express Entry draw organized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).It was also the 31st draw of the year and the fifth all-program draw organized since Canada went into lockdown on March 18.
While the huge majority of Express Entry draws ordinarily include applicants from all three programs, since the beginning of the pandemic and the introduction of travel limitations IRCC began making exceptions to this law. Among March and the start of July, IRCC was changening among CEC and PNP program draws, but the quantity of ITAs from the two draws combined usually equals to 3,900 invitations.
